We are delighted to share that our students will be performing at this year’s DDLETB Festival of Music in the National Concert Hall, marking 25 years of celebrating young musical talent.

Students from 31 DDLETB Community Colleges and Gaelcholáistí will come together on one stage, and our students and Mr Murphy will proudly represent our school as part of this significant anniversary concert.

This event highlights the commitment, rehearsal and musical growth of the students involved, and it is a fantastic opportunity for them to perform in a national venue alongside peers from across the DDLETB.

Our school online payments system, MIT, is now back up and running – apologies for the disruption for the last few weeks as the development team worked on restoring and upgrading the online payment system.
 
If you have any outstanding school payments due we would really appreciate it if these payments could be made as soon as possible so we can continue to run our programmes, extra-curricular activities and trips. 
 
Please note there is a new link for the MIT online payments system. Please see below:
 
This new link is also available on our school website, www.lucancc.ie. The Payments Icon is on the top left of the home page and also under the video on the home page.
 
Step 1: To gain access, you must click on the Forgot Password button, enter your email address, and click on the Send button.
 
Step 2: You will receive an email from the system (If the email address entered is associated with an account) and you must click on the link provided. This will take you to the MIT system where you can enter a new password to continue.
 
Step 3: Once your new password has been created, you can login and continue to pay fees as normal.
 
Please note the link will expire after 2 hours from the initial request. If this happens, you can click on the Forgot Password option again.
 
Thank you and apologies again for the disruption while the payment system was being restored and upgraded.

As we near the end of term, please note the arrangements for the remainder of this week.

  • Classes as normal tomorrow Wednesday 17th December.
  • Lucan CC Annual Christmas Concert: Wednesday 17th December at 7pm (6.30pm refreshments) – students and their families are invited to attend.
  • Classes as normal Thursday 18th December.
  • Friday 19th December: Classes as normal, school closes at 12.00 for Christmas break. Students can wear festive/christmas non-uniform clothing on Friday.

Please also note changes to our school calendar for two events in January 2026:

  • Staff Inservice Training: school will close at 12.16 (previously on calendar for 1pm)
  • 2nd year Parent Teacher Meeting: moved to Thursday 22nd January (previously 29th January on calendar)
