Movember is the leading charity changing the face of Men’s Health. Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average 5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. Worldwide, one man dies by suicide every minute of the day. These are shocking statistics that motivated us to support the cause.
Over the past two years, our Movember team of Lucan Community College Mo Bros raised over €5,500 for this charity. This is a great reflection on the generosity of our school community. So far this year we have raised over €500. This years staff team members are Mr. Foley, Mr. Spillane, Mr. Callaghan, Mr. MacGrianra and Mr. O’ Droighneain.
This year, the Sixth Year Prefects and Year Head, Mr Carey, are organising a Moustache Day for students and staff on Friday November 25th to show their support and help raise funds for this worthwhile cause. So please grow, wear, or draw on your Moustache and donate €2 for a worthy cause!
