Jigsaw’s One Good School Assembly was held in Croke Park on Wednesday 19th of October. Representatives of our One Good School Team were delighted with the opportunity to attend as we are participating in the One Good School Initiative.
The initiative aims to develop a shared responsibility for the mental health and wellbeing of young people across the whole school community. The event celebrated the great work that has been done so far in participating schools. The theme for the event was ‘Sharing learning and looking forward’.
There were many influential speakers, including former President of Ireland, Dr. Mary McAleese. She shared her story of how one good adult positively influenced her life when she was a student. There was a very interesting panel discussion where attendees heard from parents, students, teachers and school leaders about their experience of the One Good School Initiative.
