International Badminton Silver for Lucan CC student

Another huge congratulations must go to Tara Phelan in 5th year.

Tara’s latest fantastic achievement came last week during a Graded International event between Ireland, England, Scotland & Wales hosted here in Ireland.

This event was launched in line with the 120th Anniversary of Badminton Ireland and the four federations came together to celebrate this at the National Indoor Arena in Dublin.

Tara was selected to play for Ireland following on from her National Title wins earlier this year and was part of the National Grade E Team.

The team competed to a very high standard and secured the silver medal having beaten Wales and Scotland to some very tight matches.

Well done Tara, we wish you further success as you continue on your badminton journey!

Ryan Lally from Grá Pizza ran a great workshop today on pizza making as part of a wellbeing promotion, and also talked about setting up your own business and all about buying good Irish ingredients. Staff and students were delighted with the pizzas! #wellbeing #buyIrish @ddletb
