Lucan CC athletes amaze in local championships

Lucan CC athletics were in flying form on Thursday at the annual Lucan Colleges Cross Country Competitions organised by local club, Lucan Harriers.

Milly Hughes and Liam Fitzgerald, both from class Lir, came in an astonishing 2nd place in both their races. Dara Donoghue from class McVerry also placed 2nd in a very competitive 1500m race.

Áine Burke of class O’Toole took first place in the 6th year girls 1500m.

All 11 athletes ran very solid races and are making huge improvements on their times and places.

Well done to all. They are proving that this year’s theme of ‘Teamwork’ is really paying off for them.

Ryan Lally from Grá Pizza ran a great workshop today on pizza making as part of a wellbeing promotion, and also talked about setting up your own business and all about buying good Irish ingredients. Staff and students were delighted with the pizzas! #wellbeing #buyIrish @ddletb
