An excellent Morning was had by 3rd year Art students who visited the world renowned collections of the Hugh Lane Gallery.
The students had an excellent tour which included the stained glass room, which contains the remarkable and ever popular Harry Clarke piece The Eve of St. Agnes as well as work from other 20th century stained glass artist.
Through the Impressionists painting, the collect of Irish art work from Sean Keating to Francis Bacon
At the far end of these galleries is Francis Bacon’s Studio and gallery.
One of the permanent exhibitions on the ground floor of the new wing is the Sean Scully room which contains paintings presented by the artist in 2006.
