Lucan CC badminton players hit new heights

Congratulations to Lucan Community College’s junior badminton teams who enjoyed huge success in the local school’s badminton blitz tournament held this week.

The first year team recorded 10 wins with the second years recording 9 wins.

Congratulations to the second year team who were also crowned overall blitz winners.

Thank you to Ms. Gallagher for her diligent preparation of teams for the event.

Particular mention must go to Ms. Howley for her superb coaching of the second year team on their way to their overall win.

We are delighted to announce the winners of our Reading Week Poster Competition for 2023. The standard of talent and creativity was outstanding. Well done to everyone who entered a poster. The overall winners are Ellen Birnie (Junior) and Naoise Murphy (Senior). Congratulations!

Ryan Lally from Grá Pizza ran a great workshop today on pizza making as part of a wellbeing promotion, and also talked about setting up your own business and all about buying good Irish ingredients. Staff and students were delighted with the pizzas! #wellbeing #buyIrish @ddletb
