Lucan Community College’s Parents Association are delighted to announce that their next meeting will feature John Lonergan, the former Prisoner Governor of Mountjoy for 24 years and current author and motivational speaker, as their very special guest speaker.
This special Parents Association meeting will take place in the College on Monday October 16th at 7.30pm. All parents and friends of the college are invited to attend and we are sure there will be massive demand for this exciting event.
John Lonergan will be speaking about parenting after recently publishing a book on the topic, Parenting: Raising Your Child in Ireland Today. His philosophy of parenting and practical advise on raising children is likely to be a fascinating talk and sure to be of interest to all parents in our school community.
At the Parents Association John Lonergan will also speak about his life, his job as Prisoner Governor in the country’s toughest prison as well as the aforementioned challenges of parenting in modern Ireland.
If you have not yet attended a Parents Association event, please make this your first meeting as it is not one to be missed. As always, all parents are warmly welcomes to this Parents Association event and we hope to see you there on the night.
We would encourage those attending to make a small donation to the Barnardos children’s charity on the night to support the great work they do with vulnerable children and their families across the country.
