LLN Pleonasm Treasure Hunt competition

Our Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) staff and student committees ran an entertaining and successful Pleonasm Treasure Hunt in November. This consisted of students searching the school for ‘Pleonasms’ posted throughout the school.

What is a Pleonasm? It is simply the use of more words than are necessary to express an idea! ‘Tuna Fish’ (no need for the ‘fish’ as tuna is a fish!)

Prizes were awarded to Cristina Houlihan, Irene Aniboh, Gabriele Kolesnikovaite, Sam Fay and Nicky Yep.
