Summer Fete – Support our PA

Dear Parents/guardians,

Lucan Community College Parents’ Association are planning a major fundraising event in April to raise much needed funds for the school. A planned extension due for completion will require much investment by the school.

It is planned to hold a fête on Saturday 23rd April from 12 until 4.30pm in our school grounds with food vendors, craft stalls, tombola, children’s entertainment, summer bedding plants, flower baskets etc.

We also hope to have a cookery demonstration by a celebrity chef who is also a past-pupil. Tickets will be limited and available for presale on our Facebook page, Parent’s Association – Lucan Community College – so book early!

We are asking parents to help us by advising us of their interest in attending and also, more importantly, if anyone can offer their services and expertise to help in the running and organisation of this major event.

We are looking for help with the running of this event in the following areas:-
• Running a stall
• Selling raffle tickets
• Baking cakes, traybakes, etc
• Help running coffee/tea area
• Helping in the organisation of this event in any other way.

If you have any contacts who would be willing to sponsor the event we would love to hear from you.

If you have a particular skill set that would be useful in either organisation or, indeed, if you would like to run a stall yourself, please contact us at lccparentsassoc@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you a.s.a.p. so please contact us by this Thursday 11th Feb.

Please get involved, it’s a great way of getting to know fellow parents and members of the school community. The Parent’s Association meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm, come along and see what goes on.

Yours faithfully

Sandra Coleman
Vice Chairperson
