Women’s Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour

SONY DSC

Our former pupil Molly Scuffil-McCabe returned to visit our school this week. Molly is currently a contracted rugby player with the IRFU. She began her road to playing international rugby under the guidance of Fiona Coghlan. Of course Fiona is a teacher in our school and was the captain of Ireland’s only grand slam winning team. Molly arrived in the official Rugby world cup vehicle and brought with her the trophy for the tournament. The Women’s rugby world cup will take place in August of this year, in Ireland. Every effort is being made to promote the tournament and the trophy tour certainly caused great excitement in our school, especially for our rugby playing boys and girls.
