You can now view details of our autumn 2014 adult education courses, and book online here.
Principal Diane Birnie said “I am delighted that our new website now has more information for students, teachers, parents/guardians and the wider school community than ever before. I hope that this will assist to improve communication between home and school and I think that the new school calendar and online payment system will be particularly useful.”
Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to use the website to answer any queries they may have and to suggest changes and improvements that can be made to increase the usefulness of this important resource. Our thanks to all of our staff and students who have contributed to the content and images used on the site and to our web designer Laura Butler for her work in bringing this project to completion.
Postcards are flooding into the front office from near and far – some wonderfully artistic homemade postcards also. Don’t forget that we want to hear from students, parents, other family members and staff about the latest book that you read.
So drop us a line at Bookworm, Lucan Community College, Esker Drive, Lucan, Co. Dublin.
Prizes will be allocated to the most interesting postcards received.
Calling all Lucan CC students, parents and staff. As part of our numeracy policy, we are asking everyone to “Put your Maths Eyes on” this summer and share what you see with us. Using the theme of “Summer Maths” we want you to take a photograph associated with the summer holidays which has an element of maths in it. This could be anything from taking a photo of an ice-cream CONE on a sunny day, a beach ball (SPHERE) being used at the beach or a plane/train TIMETABLE used to get you to your holiday destination.
Have a look at the website www.haveyougotmathseyes.com for more ideas.
You can print the photo and drop it into us with your name and class on the back or email it to the school at email@example.com with your name.
When we gather the photos in September the most imaginative and interesting ones will be displayed on the school website and on a new Lucancc Maths Facebook page and there may even be a prize or two!
