Tá feachtás i mbun oibre ag ár gcoiste scoláire Dochás na nGael chun athrú a thabhairt maidir le curaclaim Bunscoile agus Meánscoile san Ghaeilge. Sínigh an achainí le bhur dtacaíocht a thaispeáint le bhur dtoil.

Some of our Transition Year students on the Dochás na nGael committee are trying to raise awareness about changes needed in the primary and second level curriculum for Irish. Have a look at their petition webpage and sign it to show your support and improve the level of engagement of students with our national language.

6th year students gear up for the final month of school.

Class Whitaker

Our 6th year students are busy preparing for the Leaving Cert written exams in June while still managing to cope very well with current Irish language orals.

The French and German orals and music practicals went very smoothly. Upcoming art, engineering and construction practicals and the LCVP exam will be happening within the next 2 weeks. Best of luck to all.

Comhghairdeas le foirne díospóireachta Gaeilge na scoile a ghlac páirt sa chéad babtha den comórtas Gael Linn an seachtain seo.  Ba choir go mbeidís an bhródúil astu féin. Éacht iontach ab ea é bheith páirteach sa chomórtas seo.  Mí Ádh don fhoireann sinsearach nár éirigh dul ar aghaidh agus go n-éirí leis an bhfoireann Sóisearach go háirithe a bhuaigh in aghaidh Coláiste na nDoiminceánach atá ag dul ar aghaidh don céad babtha eile.

Foireann Sóiearach : Jordan Hartnett, Alex Healy, Matthew O’Donnell (Junior)

Foireann Sínearach :  Amy Cassidy, Orla Beagan, Jenny Bowler (Senior)

Congratulations to our Irish debating teams who took part in the first round of the Gael Linn Competition recently.  They should be extremely proud of themselves.  It was a great achievement to take part. Hard luck to our senior team who did not go through to the next round and the very best of luck to our junior team who beat the Dominican College, Sion Hill to go through to the next level.
