Lucan Community College Non-Uniform Day – donations to SVP local conference

Thank you for supporting our Midterm Non Uniform Day. Our nominated charity is the Society of St Vincent De Paul. To avoid collecting coins and notes from students we are asking our school community to donate on-line this year. Don’t forget that masks must still be worn and all the usual health and safety rules apply.

Go to: https://svp.ie/get-involved/donate/single-donation.aspx

Select East for where you want your donation to go to and write in Lucan Community College as the Company Name so that all of our donations can be identified and passed onto our local conference. Then enter all other necessary information and click donate now.

As Friday 23rd October is Ms Margaret Ryan’s final school day as she takes early retirement, it is fitting that we use Friday’s non-uniform day to raise money for this worthy cause as Ms Ryan has organised the school Christmas SVP collection (from hampers to financial donations) for an incredible 34 years with the assistance of many other staff members and student leaders. Thank you Ms Ryan for your leadership of this initiative over the life time of the Lucan Community College.

SVP’s help and support in our local community is so vital in these challenging times and their usual fund-raising opportunities have been badly affected by the restrictions in place. Thank you for giving whatever you can to help those in our community who need some additional help and support at this time.
