Lucan Community College has been instructed by the Department of Education and Skills to remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday 17th October, due to the effects of tropical storm Ophelia.
Transition Year students are advised to begin their work experience on Tuesday morning if it is safe to do so. Students undertaking work experience should contact employers to ensure the work place is open and to take care when travelling to their work placements.
Transition Year students involved in Tenderfoot are notified that it will not run tomorrow due to the schools closure. It will reopen on Wednesday 18th October.
A decision on whether the scheduled events due to be held in the college on Tuesday evening can go ahead will be taken tomorrow once the school building has been assessed. These events include the 6th year parents meeting and the Board of Management meeting.
The school will reopen to all students on Wednesday 18th October.
